Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk

November 19, 2008

in Circus Shots

I have to tell myself this quite often at the circus.  “It’s just milk, no use crying over it or making anyone else cry over it.”  This time, the spill was my fault as I dropped the full gallon of milk over myself and my floor…

No use crying over it, so I snapped a picture.  Check out 5 Minutes for Mom for more Wordess Wednesdays!

Crying…maybe not coming from the dog! She was probably like. “YESSSSSSSSSS!”

I am so sorry – spilling a full gallon of milk is brutal! Great post! I agree with Donna Blessed Nest – how awesome that you thought to run for your camera first! :)

Did the dog clean it up for you???? Great attitude. I would have been a little sad that I lost a gallon of milk.

Rachel November 19, 2008 at 8:22 am

Love the dog licking the milk! He doesn’t mind at all!

How do you stay so positive?? I admire you for that. I am a work in progress in that area.

Sweet Serendipity November 19, 2008 at 9:57 am

Ah, yes, been there.
Happy WW.

Oh I feel you here – yesterday I made macaroni and cheese for lunch, truly a spoiling myself silly moment and I had the cheese already mixed with the milk and the butter sliced and ready, then I started draining the pasta, dropped the pan and it all fell out down the garbage disposal in the sink, because I’m a moron. And I almost lost it. Instead, I cleaned everything up and made peanut butter and jelly. ::sigh::

Jen@OurDailyBigTop November 19, 2008 at 11:15 am

Bummer. I have to agree with the ladies above about taking a pic for a blog post first before cleaning up. Blog minds think alike :)

I hate when that happens!!

JustAnotherSAHM November 19, 2008 at 12:24 pm

Ooooh man, that would be a tough one to laugh over…although I have to agree that the dog was probably in heaven. ;)

supermommy November 19, 2008 at 1:41 pm

That stinks! I usually end up having to clean up a couple of spills a day.

One Mom November 19, 2008 at 3:55 pm

Not the whole gallon!! I once had a gallon fall out of the back of the SUV and spill all over the driveway…yuck!

Farm Fresh Jessica November 19, 2008 at 10:08 pm

“snapped a picture”–because what else would you do!? Hope you’re all dried out & not smelling like sour milk

Kasey November 20, 2008 at 10:03 am

Oh my, I have had that happen to me as well. What do ya do, but capture the moment like you did and have a good laugh!!

I think it’s pretty cool that you had presence of mind to take this photo because it’s actually really cute, all about a mom’s day, sort of thing. And someday when they’re older and their kids spill, they’ll remember this pic and know that you survived this stuff, so they will, too!
