This weekend, I surprised Scott and the kids with a high seas adventure in Annapolis.
After donning their costumes
And getting their tattoos
We were ready to board the ship and set sail in search of our treasure
The kids used their loot to purchase ice cream for dinner.
A good time was had by all. Though I fear the pirate life may agree too well with them. Don’t they look quite fierce?

We loved this when we went sailing with the pirates 3 years ago … we are thinking of doing it again before Noah is totally too old to enjoy.
Arg! How fun! They all look so cute…I feel like I’m watching a transformation with your youngest! She’s really getting to be a big girl these days! Is this when they had ice cream for dinner? Ah, how nice!
Yes, they were quite cute and insisted that they could pay themselves with their gold coins… so they paid at the ice cream place and then Scott snuck real cash on the side. It was adorable.
