My name is Crystal and I am a 28 year old wife and mother who spends most of my time in and around the Annapolis/Baltimore metropolitan area. In addition to spending my time juggling my roles as wife, mother, and home maker (more details about me and those roles can be found HERE), I spend time serving in our local church. I am the coordinator for our local MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers group) where I go to connect with our moms in the same stage of life as me. I enjoy camping, planning vacations, scrapbooking (both digital and regular) and I like the idea of running. I started running this summer and recently achieved my goal of finishing a 10 mile race. Next challenge? A half marathon on October.
For now I am keeping my kids names a secret, because I just feel safer that way. They will eventually earn official blog pseudonyms, but for now you will have to get to know them by their circus titles. Meet my happy crew!
Meet Our Lead Clown
First up is my son. His arrival into the world forever changed my life. He continually keeps us laughing with his crazy questions, observations on life and active imagination. When he was born I became a stay at home mom and the circus had officially begun.
Born: Spring 2004
Favorite Color: (Guess, we left a clue)
Favorite Sport: Baseball
Favorite Toy: Anything not really a toy (i.e. paper towel tube, pots, lids)
Enjoys: playing with sisters, singing songs, fighting bad guys with toy gun
Likes: The idea of swimming with flippers and a snorkel, Spiderman
Dislikes: Actually swimming, green beans
Special Talents: writes and performs his own original songs
Favorite Foods: hot dogs, double peppy pizza, cottage cheese jello, DESSERT
Strengths: excellent hugger, great memory, desires to know more about God, active imagination

Meet The Acrobat
Our middle child and oldest girl has been given the title of acrobat because she is insanely flexible. Since she was 6 mths old she has been sleeping folded in half (literally she sleeps with her feet in front of her and her head on top of them almost like she’s doing a stretch to touch her toes). On more than one occasion I have caught her sucking her toes rather than her fingers! She has a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that warms your heart.![]()
Born: Winter 2006
Favorite Color: (Guess, we left a clue)
Favorite Sport: gymnastics
Favorite Toy: blocks, her trick or treat pumpkin
Enjoys: hiding and being found, being read to, singing “the Jesus song”
Dislikes: wearing her shoes
Special Talents: incredible flexibility (sleeps folded in half)
Favorite Foods: bananas, applesauce, yogurt, chocolate
Strengths: puzzles, putting things into categories and or rows, high tolerance for pain, truly loves her siblings
Meet Our Mime
The baby of the crew is almost always smiles. I’m really guessing on most of these favorites (she can’t talk yet and thus the position as circus mime). She may not talk much but make no mistake, she can get your attention when she wants it!
Born: Summer 2007
Favorite Color: (Since she can’t tell us yet, her older brother and sister have decided it for her)
Favorite Toy: play kitchen that makes noise, magnets
Enjoys: her sister and brother playing with her, climbing, being smiled at
Likes: sucking her fingers to fall asleep
Dislikes: being left behind in a room
Special Talents: can call 911
Favorite Foods: bananas, ice cream
Strengths: entertains herself

Meet the Lion Tamer
Scott aka Daddy is hard at work M-F taking care of us (a fact we are all appreciative of). When he is home the games begin, starting with hide and seek as soon as his car pulls into the driveway. He is the love of my life and nothing warms my heart more than to watch him reading the kids the “Special Bible Story” before bed and answering their questions about our Lord. It’s also great when he lets the kids help him on his special projects around the house. I know it takes twice as long for him when he stops to use the toy hammer while building our deck or letting the kids help screw in a screw for the cabinet door, but his patience and attention brings them such joy. He truly models our Father’s love for His children. He keeps the crew in line as head of this household, but he is also first to chime in with a silly song or fun game. I could go on forever about what a great Father and Husband he is, but you’ll see for yourself as you spend time reading our blog.

This is so nice, Crystal. You have such a lovely family and the two of you are doing such a wonderful job raising them. I’m glad you’re sharing this - I will visit frequently.
You are doing such a good job You have a lot of patience for handily them. I enjoy these so much makes me think i am there.
Hi
This is perhaps one of the most beautiful and sweet about pages I have ever seen. You, your Husband and kids are really amazing. You guys have given the word “family” a very refreshing meaning. Keep it up and…
Best of for the 10 mile race.
Oh…Check your Acrobat’s Year of Birth. It should be 2006, I suppose.
Thanks for the nice comment and the tip about my acrobat’s year of birth. It’s fixed now! Thanks so much for visiting!!
Ok, me again. Our kids are almost all the same ages. Yours are adorable!

keep reading those Bible stories, it will go far in the future.
